Marissa Lynn always considered herself to be a pretty lucky kid. Born in Tehachapi, California she was the third child born to the Scott's and the first girl. Those gender rules didn't matter to her though growing up and as the years passed she built up a pretty close bond with her brothers: one that would prove to hold true years later and only grow stronger. Especially with Landon and herself.
Her early years were spent trading time between the normal household chores and the small circuit beauty pageant for girls. Her mother had faith in her little girl, but she was nowhere as pushy and crazed as some of those other stage mom's got to be. Sure, she won a few here and there, but when she lost there were no hard feelings. It wasn't as if Marissa had wanted to do this professionally or anything. The idea seemed fun and so at the age of ten when she was offered a modeling contract. Since she started she's done ads for Gap, Old Navy and most recently Ecko Red. She also has an endorsement with Neutrogena.
Was it much of a surprise that she'd strike it big like that? Hardly. Talent had run in the family. First with one of her older cousins and then her brothers; both respectively with their own things. And now, with that the boys were out of the house that meant that there was no one really to protect her from the trouble that was being stirred up being their parents. Shouting matches and verbal insults were not something that a young girl should be around so when Landon had gotten himself settled in Los Angeles he managed to talk his parents into letting the youngest Scott into living with him. Was she excited? Well, sure she'd miss the ranch and spending time with her parents, but it was well worth it
Little did she knew that at the time of moving in with her brother that she would be a much needed crutch for him. Months after not only losing his fiance, but his child as well, Landon had slipped into a downward spiral. One that consisted of drugs and alcohol. This forced the young teen to grow up a lot quicker than most people that she knew and while it might have seemed like a lot to deal with, she handled it with grace. It wasn't like she was totally alone. She had help from her family as well as several of is friends. Quite a few of them that she took on as a second family to her.
